Digital Forensic Technician
About the role
Support the Digital Forensics Group by maintaining flow of exhibits through the unit and completing early analysis of exhibits to determine the best course of action by using comprehensive triage processes. Reporting the results internally and externally.
Key Accountabilities include but are not limited to;
To ensure that exhibits are acquired and processed to preserve evidential data in a timely manner ready for onward examination by Examiners.
To carry out unlocking of mobile devices and produce detailed reports and evidence.
Advise OIC of technical capability to assist lines of enquiry.
Diagnose faults and conduct minor repairs of devices.
Carry out digital media wiping processes
To conduct quality check/peer reviews as part of the rolling schedule.
To schedule work in an effective manner and communicate results clearly
